Health checks including physical check-ups, and tests for lifestyle concerns such as diabetes and cholesterol levels.

Diagnosis and management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes, including GP Management Plans (GPMP).

Corporate medicals, driving medicals, pre-employment medicals, and insurance medicals.

Advice and treatment on contraception, family planning, pap smears, sexual health checks, pregnancy testing, obstetric shared care, breast checks, and Implanon insertion and removal.

Dr Steven Whiting is an experienced Sports Doctor and GP, with over 20 years of medical experience. Dr Whiting's sports clinic is open to all sports-related medical issues in adults and children. Services include acute and chronic musculoskeletal injury diagnosis, investigation and treatment, concussion management, injury prevention advice and exercise prescription. He is experienced in the use of injection therapies (including cortisone, platelet rich plasma (PRP) and Hyaluronic acid), and can provide advice on surgical and non-surgical treatment options.

Otherwise, the Doctors at Family Health Care Mackay Group are happy to see you during normal opening hours for all other appointments.

Urgent after hours assistance is available at the Emergency Department at Mackay Base Public Hospital. There is also the Mater Emergency After Hours Service located on Willets Road, North Mackay. This is a walk-in service only and fees apply.
