The doctors at Family Health Care Walkerston privately bill patients and a range of fees apply,

The following doctors at our Walkerston clinic will bulk bill all pension concession card holders and children aged 16 and under. They will also bulk bill all health care card concession holders. You must have a valid health care concession card which will be checked at each appointment.

Concessions are only available for consultations - there may be fees for any surgical or treatment room use which will be advised at the time of your consult.

Fees are always payable at the time of consultation and we accept cash, cheque, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard and Amex) and Eftpos. Our Practice is happy to lodge your receipt to Medicare via “HIC on line” in which Medicare will deposit your rebate back into your designated account within 72 hours. You will require a card with a savings or cheque account attached or have your bank account details registered with Medicare – and we will do the rest. You will not need to go to Medicare for your refund.
 

The most commonly charged fees are on display in our waiting room. If you have any concerns with paying our fees, please discuss with your Doctor or the Practice Manager.
 

You may request your medical records be transferred to an alternate GP. A fee may apply. Please contact us directly for details.

NON ATTENDANCE FEE
 

We understand that sometimes circumstances are beyond your control. However, we appreciate a phone call or online cancellation if you are unable to attend your appointment.

This policy helps us offer appointments to other patients in need. Please note:

• MISSED LONG CONSULTS: $50 non-attendance fee will be added to your file.
• MISSED SHORT CONSULTS: 1st time: Written warning, 2nd time: $50 non-attendance fee will be added to your file.

The non-attendance fee must be paid before booking another appointment.
