Bulk Billed Appointments
We are pleased to advise that more bulk billing is now available across our network of medical centres, thanks to the new triple bulk billing incentive introduced by Medicare.

The following doctors at our Rural View clinic will bulk bill all pension concession card holders and children under 16. They will also bulk bill all health care card concession holders. You must have a valid health care concession card which will be checked at each appointment.

From 1 November 2023, the Australian Government has tripled the incentive (not the patient rebate) paid to doctors who bulk bill specific patient groups for some appointment types, from $6.85 to $20.65.
This change means if you are a concession card holder or a child under 16, your GP may choose to bill Medicare directly for some appointments.
These types of appointments may include:
- Face-to-face consults that are longer than 6 minutes (excludes mental health consults and procedures);
- Video and telehealth consults less than 20 minutes;
- Video and telehealth consults longer than 20 minutes if you are registered with our clinic through MyMedicare.
MyMedicare is a new voluntary patient registration model that will provide some extra Medicare benefits to all patients who have a Medicare Card or Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) Veteran card. You will only receive these additional benefits by registering your preferred clinic with Medicare. For more information, click here.
